SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Freshman setter/hitter Joan Caloiaro finished off a strong season for the University of San Francisco volleyball team with two post-season honors from the West Coast Conference.

Caloiaro was named to the All-WCC Honorable Mention team as well as the All-WCC Freshman team.

"I'm really excited because I worked hard all summer and it paid off," Caloiaro said. "I'm proud to be considered one of the top freshmen in the West Coast Conference."

Caloiaro finished her first season with three triple-doubles and 14 double-doubles in 27 matches. She led the Dons in assists in 25 out of 27 matches, in digs for six matches and in kills for six matches. The freshman put together seven matches with 30 or more assists and two with 20 or more digs.

The Saratoga, Calif. native led the team in service aces (23) and assists with 7.08 per set (694 total). She was second in total blocks (42), digs with 2.82 per set (276) and kills with 2.23 a set (219). Caloiaro's career highs are 58 assists, 21 digs and 16 kills.

"Congrats to Joan — it is a well-deserved honor," USF head coach Gilad Doron said. "It's great that she was recognized by the WCC coaches for putting together a good start to her collegiate career. I hope it will be motivation for her to keep working hard and to push us to new heights on the Hilltop."

Rivals.com ranks Kyle as the #6 overall Pro-Style quarterback in the class of 2011 and Scout.com ranks him #12 overall quarterback in the country.  The four star prospect was also tabbed by Bleacher Report as the #1 Cannon-Armed Quarterback and #8 “Gamer” in the country. Kyle has even been compared by some analysts to the legendary Tom Brady.

“QB Coaching Star” Steve Clarkson says, “Kyle Boehm is your ultimate competitor, who at 6’3 220 lbs, seized every opportunity presented to him throughout the 2010 Steve Clarkson Dreammaker Tour solidifying his position within our elite fraternity of quarterbacks that includes Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Leinart, Matt Cassel, Jimmy Clausen, Josh Freeman and numerous others.”

Off the field, Kyle helps at Sunday school and is active in the Men’s Recovery Program via City Team Ministries.  Academics are very important to him and his performance in the classroom is proof.  His personal priorities are Family, Friends, School, and Football.

Sports Achievements: Owen is a youth level select soccer player (age 10) from AVYSL. He has used the EFS System for about 8 months now and has really improved in his testing as well as in his training intensity.

What’s even better, is his dad has seen a difference on the field:

“Owen has been playing great, and more aggressive and much of it is a result of EFS.  He got player of the match on our first game Saturday morning and then again on Sunday morning.  It was a tough tournament, but the boys pulled it off and won the tournament.”

EFS Achievements: Owen improved his acceleration, vertical jump as well as his foot quickness & agility. To see Owen’s youth level analytics page click on the EFS Analytics chart below.
